And I was so pissed off by yesterdays asshattery, I completely forgot the hilarity that ensued in my Seed class.

Mandy: "...so a debate is like a fight."
Happy: "Using your words."
Jerry: "Loser say the wrong thing. You say what, it's not a good reason, so you lose."
Amy: "What are fighting words?"
Juliette: *throws hand out* "SHIT!"
*enter complete hysteria and Juliette turns bright red*
Hallen: "Not those fighting words!"
Mandy: "....*wheeze*..."

And then when formulating their arguments (we were debating Asesop's fable - the Grasshopper and the Ant. Should the ants have helped the grasshopper? Pros say yes, Cons say he should have died), they came up with this:

Happy: "Mandy, is it a Chinese ant or a foreigner ant?"
Mandy: "....uh, why?"
Happy: "Because if it's a Chinese ant, they have a good moral character and they must help."
Mandy: "...and if it's a foreigner ant?"
Jerry: "Then she needs be a Con!"

Have I mentioned how much I adore these kids? :D

So what's been happening lately? I've finally started my Christmas shopping, and I'm almost halfway through it. I really hope that they like the presents that I get them, BUT I HAVE TO WAIT FIVE WEEKS TO FIND OUT -cries- I hate waiting to give people presents because I'm so impatient to see if they a) like it, and b) are happily surprised by it. I don't know what it is, but I absolutely adore surprising people. I guess it just makes me feel like I can do some things right even when I'm awkward with other things.

I also got my haircut yesterday. It was such a busy day as well! I was at the mall for almost 4 hours all up! Most of it was spent chatting with everyone at work and showing off my new hairstyle to them >_> fortunately they all approved and were excited. It made me laugh :3

In other news. OMG THREE DAYS GRACE CONCERT NEXT WEEK!!!!! I'm so excited! It was so difficult trying to find someone to go with, but after some failed attempts, I managed to find someone -does a happy dance- I so can't wait for it~~ it's going to be f*ckin' awesome -squees happily-

Seriously, I am about to lose my temper with another teacher and I'm starting to wonder if I'm expecting too much.




I'm pissed. who the HELL does he think he is? I am recommending two options:

1. Since you don't want to spend 2 hours a month at a work shop, we're going to add more classes to your schedule. Enjoy THAT.
2. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. AKA you're FIRED.

Yeah, I'm seeing a lot of that respect you professed you had for me. At least the other guy who's skipping has emailed me to say he's willing to discuss his reasons and that he has concerns. He still has to come - but at least he's being more open towards solving this instead of making demands he has no right to freaking make.

It's 5:20. I'm going home. I've had enough of this garbage.

sgabigbang just went live today - we have 43 stories of minimally 40,000 words each, and 91 pieces of art by over 50 AMAZING artists. Plenty of McKay/Sheppard to check out!

I suck at numbers. If it takes me roughly 16 minutes to travel 4.1km, how many km per hour am I going? And if it takes 20 minutes? Help help help!

Hell week is nearly over. It was a very productive week of workshops (one more this Monday) and I spent two days training new teachers. I then had a brain-fart and spent this morning putting together a 40 page orientation manual. I went through old files of classroom management techniques, sample lesson plans, evaluation rubrics, company policies, game ideas etc, spent 3 hours retyping, reformatting, reorganizing, then printing, photocopying and putting together to show to H. H took one look at it and disappeared. An hour later she returns - and the damn thing has a cover page, an introduction, is better organized, has some new additions, and is properly bound - with the cover, Orientation Manual on it. After submitting it to J, it's been adopted as the official manual, and I get full credit for it. :D

I like occasionally proving my usefulness. :D

I also spent today doing a mini-workshop with our coordinators, continuing from last week. We're working on effective communication techniques - or as I told the CD's, 'Ways to Tell the Teachers How to Improve Without Pissing them Off'. It's getting better. See, some of the things CD's have to do is tell teachers to follow actual rules, and they flounder because they don't want to hurt the FT's feelings or make them angry. Which is valid when giving constructive criticism and advice. But teachers blatantly ignoring rules? They need to drop the niceties and tell them flat out. They practice with me, 'cause frankly, I'm the biggest bitch they're ever going to encounter. If they can stand up to me, they can stand up to any teacher in the office. :D

And then of course, there's the not so fun part.

Yeah, some of the things about my job are not so fun.

I have my Seed Class tomorrow. I can have fun with them instead. ^^

New furnace is installed. They got it finished Tuesday evening and it's been a big difference from how the old one was working. Not just in heat, but in hot water, especially to the bathroom. We were having pressure issues with the hot water in the tub and that seems to have corrected with the new furnace and water tank.

So yeah... not going to freeze =D They got it done just in the nick of time too - temps went down to 24 last night~

Took me 2 days to catch up all the dishes and laundry from not having hot water for 3 days, but I got the last of it done today.

Little Black Dress

Back from the hospital and the surgery was a complete success!

My doctor almost called it quite because they had a hard time finding the source and just when they were about to go, they found the problem in the last part of my heart that they would have guessed. Great thing is that that meant they were able to aggressively and so he i more than sure that they bad trigger is gone for good... and if it does return on the 5% chance, they know where to go right away again.

Last night in the hospital was rough. Couldn't keep anything down and so the trash can next to my bed got to know me well. And sleep was little through the night the way I was braced down.

But now I am home and I can drink/eat without having to throw up soon after. Just need rest now, so it may be another day or two before I update. But, wanted to let you all know I am fine and recovering nicely.

Thank you all so very, very much for your prayers and wonderful kind words of support. I thought of all of you before going under and all last night! love ya tons!! *carefully hops off bouncing flowers*
